The group assembled on the starting line in Monaco today alongside McLaren’s senior management and Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali to mark the milestone. The lineup spanned multiple generations of the team’s history, celebrating McLaren’s long record of success in the sport.

Among those present was Mika Hakkinen, the two-time world champion who took both titles and all 20 of his grand prix victories with McLaren. Hakkinen drove the team’s original F1 car, the M2B, in a demonstration lap around the streets of Monte Carlo.

Current McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, who have combined for 20 wins for the team, also took part in the event. Former McLaren race winners who attended included David Coulthard, Heikki Kovalainen, Emerson Fittipaldi, Gerhard Berger, Juan Pablo Montoya, John Watson and Lewis Hamilton, who won 21 races for McLaren before moving to Ferrari. Fernando Alonso, who secured four wins with McLaren and now competes for Aston Martin, was also present.
