Las Vegas Grand Prix could be recognised as annual event through 2037 (Las Vegas Review-Journal)

At Tuesday’s Clark County Commission meeting, a resolution is up for approval that would recognise the F1 race as an annual event through 2037, extending the county’s previous recognition that ran through 2032.

Carlos Reutemann won on a fraught weekend for Formula 1 today in 1981
  • 45 years ago today Carlos Reutemann took his final win in an acrimonious Belgian Grand Prix at Zolder, a race remembered for on-track incidents and dangerous moments for team personnel. Earlier in the event a mechanic was fatally injured after being struck by Reutemann’s car in the pits, and another mechanic narrowly escaped injury when hit during the restart.
