Las Vegas Grand Prix could be recognised as annual event through 2037 (Las Vegas Review-Journal)
At Tuesday’s Clark County Commission meeting, a resolution is up for approval that would recognise the F1 race as an annual event through 2037, extending the county’s previous recognition that ran through 2032.

Four-time Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen described a challenging introduction to night laps on the Nordschleife during Qualifying Two. Changing conditions, rain and fog made his first night experience a steep learning curve, but he said it gave him a useful idea of what to expect in the race.

Schumacher said he welcomes comparisons to his father, Michael, and that being measured against one of the sport’s greats is part of the job: “I love being compared to my dad. You want to be compared to the best out there. It’s business as usual.”

- 45 years ago today Carlos Reutemann took his final win in an acrimonious Belgian Grand Prix at Zolder, a race remembered for on-track incidents and dangerous moments for team personnel. Earlier in the event a mechanic was fatally injured after being struck by Reutemann’s car in the pits, and another mechanic narrowly escaped injury when hit during the restart.
