Edvaldo reacts to Ferrari denying Charles Leclerc the chance to get ahead of his team mate:
Ferrari forcing Leclerc to also pay for Hamilton’s penalty was surprising. He had every reason to be furious with the team at his home race, but then crashing before the green flag was an even worse mistake.
It’s Monaco, and people often excuse issues here, but that section of tarmac failing like that is unacceptable. It’s not the first time something like this has happened.

He explained they were trying strategic moves to build a gap for both cars, but that made them vulnerable on track; he struggled to defend down the straights while managing the problem.

Ayao Komatsu described first-lap contact between Esteban and Ollie that damaged Ollie’s front wing. Ollie then had a brake issue and was eventually retired.
2026 Monaco Grand Prix – race report (McLaren)
Andrea Stella said the team identified an anomaly with the power unit that had not appeared before the race. They tried mitigation steps and adjustments that allowed the car to continue for a few laps, but the issue proved terminal.
Feature Race: Tsolov delivers in Monte Carlo to claim victory (Formula 2)
The report notes that on lap 32 Tsolov and Stenshorne pitted for super-softs, with Camara and Dunne following the next lap. Camara briefly ran ahead but struggled for grip, allowing Tsolov to close. Side-by-side into turn one, Camara locked up, ran straight on and brought out a Virtual Safety Car, then retired.

The Italian driver overtook pole-sitter Theophile Nael at the start and kept the lead into turn one, with Nael finishing second and Freddie Slater completing the podium for Trident.
IndyCar hybrid failures spark supply scarcity (Racer)
Some teams have privately raised concerns that recurring issues with motor generator units (MGU) and energy storage systems (ESS) could create a shortage of hybrids needed to equip the field if problems continue through a busy end-of-season stretch with six consecutive race weekends.
