Formula 1 Commission Meeting 02.06.26 – media statement (FIA)
Minor changes were agreed to aerodynamic and bodywork components. A proposal to increase the number of pre-season test days in 2027 from three to four days was approved. Adjustments to Testing of Previous Cars (TPC) were also agreed, placing new limitations on conducting tests at circuits scheduled to hold a race in the following year’s championship.

Michael Schumacher’s nurse ‘woke up in pain on blood-stained bed after being raped by racing driver who was a family friend at the F1 legend’s villa’, trial hears (Daily Mail)
The report describes the nurse’s discretion while caring for Schumacher, noting she never spoke about her patient despite intense media attention. It goes on to allege she was the victim of a sexual assault while working to protect the family and maintain confidentiality.
Williams appoints James Smith as chief information officer (Williams)
Williams has named James Smith as their new chief information officer. Smith holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of St Andrews and brings a decade of experience from Google and DeepMind, where he led large product and platform teams. He later co-founded a data and AI startup that was acquired by Cloudflare.
Indianapolis 500 veteran Rick Treadway dies at 56 (IndyCar)
IndyCar announced the passing of Rick Treadway, who debuted in the series in 2001 at Kentucky Speedway and last raced in 2002 at the Texas season finale. His best finish was fifth at the 2001 Texas finale.
2026 Monaco Grand Prix preview (Audi)
Allan McNish noted that the Monaco race signals the beginning of the European season and that Audi’s new team hospitality will debut in the paddock this weekend. The team is looking forward to experiencing the new setup after significant preparation.
